Dr. Olga Y. Gorlova and Dr. Ivan P. Gorlov visited our lab on Nov.24. And Dr. Olga Y. Gorlova gave a lecture titled " Lung Cancer in Never Smokers".

Profile of Dr. Olga Y. Gorlova

Dr. Olga Y. Gorlova received her Ph.D. from Institute of Cytology and Genetics, Novosibirsk, Russia. From 2000 to 2013, she worked at Department of Epidemiology, UTMD Anderson Cancer Center. Currently she is an associate professor at Geisel School of Medicine, Dartmouth College. Her research interests include cancer epidemiology with a focus on lung cancer in never smokers, modeling of cancer progression and early detection, and genetic epidemiology of complex diseases. Currently she is leading a genomewide association study of lung cancer in never smokers, involving multiple research sites worldwide.

Profile of Dr. Ivan P. Gorlov

Dr. Ivan P. Gorlov received his Ph.D. from Institute of Cytology and Genetics, Novosibirsk, Russia in 1990. From 2004 to 2009, he worked in the Department of Epidemiology, and from 2009 to August 2013 in the Genitourinary Medical Oncology Department of the UTMD Anderson Cancer Center. Currently he is an associate professor at Geisel School of Medicine. His research interests include application of bioinformatics techniques to GWAS and next generation sequencing data.
