Dr. Chaohong Zhang

Graduated with a Ph.D. in December 2017, achieving "with distinction/mit Auszeichnung bestanden" (highest distinction) with Professor Christoph Brabec as my supervisor at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, focusing on thermo- and photo-stability in organic solar cell. From July 2018 to July 2020, I was appointed as an Assistant Researcher/Assistant Professor at the Institute for Advanced Interdisciplinary Research at Southern University of Science and Technology, conducting research on ionic hydrogels and their applications in flexible electronics. Since July 2020, I have been conducting research on multifunctional ionic hydrogels and their applications in wearable electronic devices, as well as electrochromic materials and devices, at Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School.

I have published 12 original SCI papers as the first author/corresponding author, including 3 papers in Advanced Materials, 1 paper in Energy & Environmental Science, and 2 papers in Advanced Functional Materials as the first author/corresponding author. Additionally, I have applied for 11 national invention patents.

In the past three years, I have led four research projects as the principal investigator, with a total funding of 5.9 million RMB. I have participated in three national and provincial-level projects with fundings above tens of millions of RMB.

In July 2019, I was awarded the "Peacock Plan B" title of high-level overseas talents by the Shenzhen Municipal Government.
