Our SMILE Lab focuses on the electronic devices and materials research, covering neuromorphic devices and computing, bioelectronics and integration, biomaterials, supercritical fluids. Our primary objective is to leverage these technologies to enhance human-machine interfaces and implantable medical electronics by addressing the device-tissue gap and improving sensing and stimulation for neural interfacing and regenerative engineering applications. Our academic backgrounds range from electrical engineering, applied physics, material science, bioengineering, chemical engineering, to biology and enable us to work and collaborate effectively on these inherently cross-disciplinary problems. We welcome science enthusiasts to join us and utilize their unique talents and strengths to contribute to our happy and SMILE research community.
