In April, on a clear and sunny day, Nel’s friends came out of the laboratory to enjoy the beautiful spring sunshine in Hong Kong MacLehose Trail, which is one of the best hiking trails in the world.

Early in the morning, we set out from NEL, took the Shenzhen subway to the port, and after passing the customs, we took Hong Kong taxi. We met with Mrs. Zhang at the starting point of MacLehose Trail, and started our 12 kilometers hiking tour.

Along the way, we went up the mountain and down the sea, and got in close contact with animals. At the riverside, we played with water rafting. On the beach, we sat around for a picnic and played werewolf killing,and we left an exclusive portrait of Nel. we enjoyed the beautiful scenery along the way, blue sea water, green trees, and everyone’s body and mind had been really relaxed.

All the way, after nearly 6 hours of long journey, we finally came to the end. At the end, we left brilliant smiles to commemorate this special moment.

In the evening, we had a little rest at HKUST. After dinner, we visited the HKUST’s exhibition hall, classrooms, offices, and playground. This university built near the sea has beautiful scenery!
At 10 p.m., we finished the trip and set out on our way back to the lab. In this hiking trip to Hong Kong, we have deepened our understanding of each other, and our physical and mental health have also been exercised. We will continue to devote ourselves to the following scientific research and learning.
